The new elected MPs were actually sworn in on the first day. This parliament is actually made up of 568 elected members and is dominated  by an alliance loyal to President.
The session of Sunday was actually supposed to be mostly procedural but it was disrupted by one of the outspoken member.
One of the supporters of the President Murtala Mansour at first refused to read the official text of the MPs' oath before relenting and hurriedly and casually recited it, reported the Associate Press.
This angered  Mr Mansour as parts of the texts endorsing the ousting of the former President Hosni Mubarak in 2011, was now seen as as a mistake according to the agency.
